It will be ascertained whether the relevant women are "required to spend most of their time on domestic duties during 365 days preceding the date of survey". If the answer is in the affirmative, code 1 and if the answer is in the negative, code 2 will be recorded against item 3 for each of the relevant members. If the answer is 'yes', i.e., if the entry against item 3 is code 1 for a woman, the reason for her participation in the household duties will be ascertained and recorded in terms of the specified code numbers against item 4.
