Definition

OPV : OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine) is given generally as oral liquid and sometimes as injection in 3 or 4 doses at an interval of 1-2 months. The first dose is given when the child is 3-9 months old. One or more booster doses are also given after the child attains the age 18 months.
