Interviewer instructions

For the household which has moved to the place of enumeration, the type of structure where the household lived before movement to the place of enumeration is to be ascertained. The places and structures where the household had lived as a stop-gap measure (period less than six months) before moving to the place of enumeration are to be ignored for the purpose. The type of structure refers to the materials used for different parts of building and is to be identified as per the definitions given earlier for each of the different types of structure viz., pucca, semi-pucca, serviceable katcha and non-serviceable katcha (for definitions, see Chapter One). If the household had no structure to live in, it is also to be entered against this item.
