Information as to whether the building has a direct opening to any road or not will be recorded against this item in codes. If from the plot of the building, one can approach a public road / lane / constructed path without passing through another plot, the building is to be regarded as having a direct opening to a road. If , on the other hand, one has to pass through another plot to approach a public road / lane / constructed path, the building is to be regarded as an electrified road if it has lighting provision as on the data of survey. It will be treated as cartable if it is wide enough for a bullock cart to pass through.
