The identification particulars of the sample village/block and the sample household in which the survey schedule have been can­vassed have been recorded in block 1. Certain characteristics of the sample household, such as, size, social-group, principal occupation, etc., meant to be used as classificatory variables have been recorded in block 5.

The demographic particulars like age, sex, marital status and education of the members of the sample household have been recorded in block 6.

Block 7 records particulars of assistance received by the household during last 3 years.

Block 8 records particulars of land owned and possessed by the household.

Block 9 records particulars of disposal of land by the household during last 5 years.

Blocks 10 and 12 record particulars of input items used by the household for cultivation during 1987-88 and particulars of wage employment in forestry operations.

Block 11 records particulars of crops produced by the household during 1987-88.

Block 13 records particulars of forest produce collected, consumed at home and sold by household members during last 30 days as self-employed.

Block 14 records particulars of household enterprise (other than cultivation) during last 30 days.

Block 15 records particulars of products (other than forest products) marketed by the household during last 30 days.

Block 16 records inventory of assets owned by the household on the date of survey.

Block 17 records particulars of dues payable by the household and transaction of loans during last 365 days.
