Interviewer instructions

6.5.6 the religion of the household in terms of the specified code will be
recorded against this item. If different members of the household claim to have different religions, the religion of the head of the household will be considered as the religion of the household. In case a tribal household claims to belong to a religion other than those mentioned against religion codes 1 to 7, it is to be ascertained as to whether the proclaimed religion is a traditional tribal religion or not. If yes, the entry against this item will be 8 : otherwise code 9 will be entered against this item.
