Pre-school intervention refers to any support given to children with disability before they start going to school. For instance therapies for motor or speech defects or delayed development, stimulation programmes either at home or developmental centres through qualified trainers/therapists. Pre-school interventions also mean attending Play School, Nursery Schools, Balwadis or Anganwadis in formal or informal setups. Code 1 will be assigned if the child has attended any such pre-school intervention programme and code 2 otherwise.
