If the house is excellent for habitation and seems to need no major repairs then code 1 is to be entered. In case the house is fairly good and needs no major repairs code 2 is to be recorded. If the condition is bad, dilapidated and impoverished (either needs immediate repairs/structural changes or is not suitable for permanent habitation at all) code 3 is to be noted.
