Description

The report presents data on level of consumption and its break-up by commodity group.
The level of living of an individual is measured by his or her household’s per capita consumption
level, with household consumption measured as the sum of monetary values of goods and
services consumed during a month by a household. Apart from average levels of consumption
for rural and urban sectors of different States/UTs, the report presents fractiles of the
distributions of persons over different levels of living.
