Definition

Pre-Primary School: There are arrangements under “Integrated Child Development Scheme” (ICDS) to provide non-formal pre-school education, along with the programmes of supplementary nutrition and health care, to children under 6 years of age. Such entities having the provision of non-formal pre-school education have been regarded as pre-primary schools. Besides, any Government or private institution providing pre-primary (below Class I standard) education has also been included in this category.
