Interviewer instructions

Each type of bovine livestock, viz. crossbred cattle, nondescript cattle and buffaloes, will be separately classified by age, sex and use. For each of them, the number belonging to different classes will be recorded in appropriate columns. It may be specially noted that, among the nondescript cattle and the buffaloes, those up to 3 years of age are considered to constitute the young stock, whereas the young stock among crossbred cattle is taken as those up to the age of 28 months. The young stock are further classified into males and females and their respective numbers will be recorded in cols. (11) & (12).
