Interviewer instructions
Information regarding the general and technical education attained by the normal members of the household listed in col. (1) will be recorded in columns (8) and (9) respectively in terms of the specified code numbers. For the purpose of making entries in these columns only the course successfully completed will be considered. For instances, for a person who has studied up to say, first year B.A., his educational attainment will be considered only secondary (code number 5). Also, for a person who has studied up to 12th standard but has not sat for the final examination or has failed or ever passed in the examination, his educational attainment will be considered 'secondary' only. The relevant codes to be used for recording entries in these two columns.
