Definition

Access to latrine is defined in terms of the latrine that can be used by the majority of the household members, irrespective of whether it is being used or not. In this item information will be collected on whether the household’s latrine facility is for its exclusive use or shared with one or more households in the building or for use of households in the locality/specific section of people with and without payment or whether the household does not have access to any latrine.
